Let’s be clear. Insurance companies want to make money like every other business so their focus on #wellness is no accident.
In Australia 46% of women and 42% of men say they don’t have – and don’t want – a life insurance policy so insurance companies have to pivot. Whilst Aon Insurance and Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated have an interest in life insurance they also cover finance and corporate.
In my work I’ve been very thankful for companies like Allianz who were one of the first to survey wellness in an attempt to measure the #benefits to organisations of introducing measures to look after their staff.
Being able to talk about #ROI (Return on Investment) and #COI (Cost of Inaction) took the battle to prioritise health and wellbeing at work to a new level.
I’m excited to learn this week that AON’s latest survey shows that:-
“Because wellbeing impacts not only people aspects of companies but also business performance, it is clear that wellbeing must be integrated into overall company strategy, not just implemented as a handful of individual programs with no connection to a larger business plan.”
We’ve gone way beyond the gym membership and a feel good RUOK morning tea to talking about #strategy.
How does a wellbeing strategy work and where does it sit in your annual plan?
Think productivity, think staff retention, think staff engagement, think ESG and good governance, think improved good team work and consider wellbeing and #resilience as your foundation stone for #buildingcapacity.
Let’s talk Strategy!
